AWS announces the general availability of Amazon EC2 X8i instances powered by custom Intel Xeon 6 processors, designed for memory-intensive workloads.

• •Provides 1.5x more memory capacity (up to 6 TB) and 3.3x more memory bandwidth compared to previous X2i instances
• •Delivers up to 43% higher overall performance, with up to 50% higher SAP SAPS, 47% faster PostgreSQL, 88% faster Memcached, and 46% faster AI inference vs X2i
• •Available in 14 sizes (up to 384 vCPUs, 6,144 GiB RAM) including bare metal options, with up to 100 Gbps network and 80 Gbps EBS bandwidth
• •Currently available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), and Europe (Frankfurt) regions
