Building the future: highlights from Dropbox’s 2025 summer intern class

Dropbox's 2025 Camp Dropbox Intern Program welcomed 43 interns from 27 colleges across multiple countries for a 12-week program focused on meaningful engineering contributions.

• •28 engineering interns accumulated over 6,000 hours of one-on-one mentorship while working on high-impact projects tied to Dropbox Dash, the company's AI-powered universal search product
• •Projects spanned ML model deployment monitoring (AI Sentinel), multilingual search expansion to 20+ languages, front-end latency reduction in Magic Pocket storage, and AI-powered code migration automation
• •An intern on Analytics Platform optimized Databricks ETL pipelines and prototyped an Airflow pipeline to migrate a 500 TB mobile events log to liquid clustering
• •Other contributions included a document preview experience in Dash, adaptive anomaly detection for the Vortex2 metrics system, and an extensible AI web-automation agent integrated with Dropbox APIs
