Introducing three new tools for precise image editing in Figma

Figma introduces three new AI-powered image editing tools—Erase object, Isolate object, and Expand image—alongside a new image editing toolbar.

• •Erase object: lets users lasso and completely remove any object from an image without affecting the background
• •Isolate object: allows repositioning or editing a selected object with independent lighting, color, and focus adjustments
• •Expand image: extends image backgrounds to fit new aspect ratios without distortion, replacing manual cropping for format changes
• •Remove background is now more discoverable in the new unified image editing toolbar
• •Available to Full seat users on Professional, Organization, and Enterprise plans with AI enabled; AI actions consume credits
